Before anyone stands where I ask them to stand, I watch the room. Window fall-off, a lamp that is too warm, a shadow that already knows where the face should sit.

Clients sometimes expect energy first. I start with stillness. If the light is wrong, no amount of posing rescues the photograph. If the light is right, people relax into it.

That pause is not delay. It is the work. The click is only the receipt.
